Spring 2012 Impressions~ Part II

For the 2nd part of the impression of Spring 2012, it does not include Lupin III as I have not seen the first 2 season yet(too old for me xP).
The next 5 series I will be introducing are as follow.
First on the list is Arashi no Yoru ni:Himitsu no Tomodachi. This is a remake of the movie version. I have not watch the movie version, but roughly have an idea what it is about before I watched the series. The first episode started with a stormy night. Mei the little goat was running from the lightning. She came to an abandon hut and decided to seek shelter in it. Gabu the wolf who is also running away from the lightning soon follows. Because it was pitch black in the room, Mei thought that Gabu was a Goat as he heard sound of hoof stomping(which was actually a stick Gabu used). Both unaware of each others' identity started to chat and after the storm had subsided, they made a promise to meet at the same hut the next day for lunch together. They will use the code "Arashi no Yoru ni" to confirm their identity. The next day, Mei reached first and decides to hide while waiting. Gabu reach shortly and saw Mei hiding. He giggled and shouted the code. Mei did the same. They both leaped in front of one another. At first they both had a shock of the real identity of each other, but they soon get used to it. And their adventure continues.
I am dropping this for now because I have a big watchlist to managed. It isn't bad plot wise, though I don't quite like the 3d-fied animation style. I may pick it up again in the future or may just watch the movie version and that's that. For my score on the series, I am giving it a 6.8/10.
Kuromajyo-san ga Touru!! is quite 'random' in my opinion. Each episode starts with the usual introduction, Kurotori Chiyoko AKA Choco who is an occult maniac was asked by her friends to summon the Messenger of Love, Cupid. However on the day of the summoning, her nose is blocked and the name that came out turns into Gyubid. What she summoned was not Cupid, but Gyubid, the Black Witch. And it seems that only she can see Gyubid. From that moment on, Choco's adventure to the world of Black Magic starts with Gyubid as her instructor.
This is a Comedy(nothing that funny currently in my opinion ) with Magic as the main theme. It is probably also slice of life as there are no connections between each episode. In each episode, Choco uses Black Magic to help solve problems. This series is also a short production that last of 7mins.
My score for the series is a 5.2/10 and frankly speaking, watch it only if you have too much time.
Kore wa Zombie desuka? OF THE DEAD is one of my anticipated series for this season. The series was like the first, hilarious and full of fan services. For those who do not know it yet, this is a Comedy with Actions quite frequently and some elements of Romance.
The series continues from where it have stopped in the previous season. Aikawa Ayumu, a zombie is living with a Necromancer(Eucliwood AKA Eu), a Masou Shoujo(Haruna) and a Vampire Ninja(Seraphim AKA Sera).

In episode one, a mysterious new character was introduced. Her name have not been mentioned yet in the name and what exactly is her was also not known. She is called a fairy by Aikawa so let's just go with that. Back to the story, the first half was just some character introduction and for the viewers to get into the mood.
In the 2nd half, Aikawa was attacked by a Megalo and he transformed into the Masou Soujo. This was witnessed by the entire school as he battles the Megalo. It seems that everyone was more concerned over Aikawa cross-dressing than the Megalo. Photos and videos was taken during this incident and uploaded all over the net and after beating the Megalo, Aikawa could not stand it anymore and tried to use Mystletainn(chainsaw) to erase everyone's memories like what haruna did before. During than, Mystletainn broke and Aikawa was exposed in the full view of everyone in school without their memory erased. It was also then, Sarasvati labeled Aikawa as her 'Kuso Darling' due to his 'perfect' butt. (LOL!) There is also a new ending section which is where all the imagination Eu comes together to talk about their love for Aikawa.

As everyone's memory could not be erased in the first episode, Aikawa had to live with it till Mystletainn is fixed. He is now famous for his cross-dressing and even featured in fashion magazines!
He was later in the second part of the episode asked by Tomomori, his 'Bride in School' to accompany her on a mountain hiking trip. He was later accompanied by Haruna, Eu and Sera on the trip with Tomomori. As usual, hilarious things happens on the trip and in the end they managed to see the gorgeous scene Tomomori was talking about.
In episode 3, Haruna decided to fix Mystletainn by herself after Aikawa asked her for a quicker solution. After seeing the Mystletainn back in one piece, Aikawa thought that Haruna has fixed it and tries to use it. Apparently a screw was not placed in and Mystletainn broke into a worst state than before.
The 2nd part of the episode was about Tomomori being a dancer for Sarasvati's concert. It seems that Tomomori can't dance and whenever she does, it turns into a Curse Dance. Haruna tries to teach her the correct way of dancing but it only doubled the effect. Aikawa manged to teach them the real way of dancing but during the main concert, they went back to the Curse Dance.

The second season in my opinion is much more wacky and fun to watch than the first. For those who have not seen the first yet, give it a try and you will like it. My score for the series is a 7.8/10
Medaka Box is an Action series adapted from its Manga that is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. There are some romance and comedy elements present as well.
Episode one of Medaka Box started with a speech made by Medaka as the candidate to become president of the school, and followed by some of the character introduction. The results was soon announced with Medaka winning with 98%. Hitoyoshi, the friend of Medaka ever since childhood was dragged by Medaka into the student council room. He thought he was being 'scouted' by Medaka to join the Student Council but Medaka just wanted him to be by her side. There is a suggestion box belonging to Medaka for the student council(that is probably the Medaka Box) which is used to receive suggestions from the students.
Cutting the long story short, In episode one, Medaka displayed her 'superhuman' power to revive the Kendo club. Hitoyoshi decided joined the Student Council after that. In the next episode, she helped to solve a case of a threat mail and a case of a missing pet.
Hitoyoshi was asked by Kanoya, a 3rd year student in the school to join him in his plan to take down Medaka in episode 3. Apparently Kanoya was one of the candidate to the school president as well and was beaten up by Medaka for using violence to scare the girls into voting him. Hitoyoshi of course did not join them and bashed him up later. The second half of the episode was a request by the Judo club's president to help find a suitable candidate to be the president of the club.

I have not read the manga, but in my opinion, the Anime seems quite dull currently and with just 12 episode in total, i doubt there will be anything much with the current pace.

I am currently watching it only for the hope that there will be something interesting happening since it is from Jump and the fact that Shiranui's 'little fern on the head' is slowly draining my soul. >w<

My score currently for the series is a 6.8/10 with regards that it is adapted from the Jump magazine and produced by Gainax.

Shirokuma Cafe as what the title mentioned is a series with a Cafe belonging to a Polar Bear. I dropped it after the first episode and the truth is during the starting 5 mins, I am already struggling and waiting for something to keep my attention. This is a Slice of Life Comedy according to ANN.
I can't really give an unbiased opinion and score on this so I will be skipping it, though you are really 'high level' in a certain way if you do watch it.

P.S.: Sorry for the long delay between the first part and the second. I wasn't feeling that well recently.

パートツー!
