Like what the title wrote, the Josei-manga adapted Karuta anime have gotten itself a well-deserved 2nd season.
I have heard that its DVD/BD sales was not that good but it was still much better than most Josei/Shoujo-adapted manga. Also, I have also heard that the anime have greatly helped to boost the sales of the manga, though it is still kind of bad.
Not sure about you but I sure did enjoyed the first season. I was really upset when it ended halfway. If you have not watched the first season yet, I would strongly recommend you to watch it. Trust me, after you have watched it, you will be hooked to this unique card game. And no, it is not just about the cards of course! There are plenty more of other things worth watching in the anime.
