Today's post will be on the review of anime series i watched that have ended in the current summer season as well as those that are still ongoing and maybe those that have just started if i have the time.
I will give this series 8 stars. :)
I would say that this series is pretty decent, if you are into action. For those who wants nothing but moe, maybe you can watch it for Msyu. xD The slight romance between Kimimaro and Msyu is kind of nice too.
Next stop, 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku. This is a comedy about a 30 years old virgin who can't find a partner. Two Ero-Gods are send to end his virgin life. I know that a lot of people complained that this series is utter rubbish and totally wastes one's 15 min. I would beg to differ. This isn't utter rubbish. If you really watch the whole thing, it is actually quite funny. I know that there are a lot of word and voice censor such as random word like "Big Banana" that was played during certain times but that only makes it more humorous for me.
The main reason for this series is actually to help decrease the increasing no. of singles in Japan and hopefully indirectly increases the birth rates. Ironically, i don't think it helps. If you are watching it for that reason(to find a partner), then i would say, "It's utter rubbish." However, if you just treat it as a normal comedy, it's isn't that bad. Pi-chan & Ku-chan are cute too! Daigorou is pretty much an ikemen i would say. And Macaron is the only Shota currently that made me go... "Kyaaa... He's adorable! ><". The 100 years virgin king is very cool and hilarious too.
I will give it 6.5 stars.
It's AnoHana next. This series actually have the longest name i have ever seen in an anime. The actual name is Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, which translate to "We are still unclear of the name of the flower we saw that day" It's a drama about a group of childhood friends who grew apart after an incident which caused the death one of them. It starts in the present where Yadomi aka "Jintan", the leader of the used to be group met the ghost of "Menma", the girl who died in the incident. Together, bit by bit, he tries his best to get the group together to help fulfill Menma's wish.
I basically cried in like half of the series. During the first few episode and during the last few episode. It is an Anime which doesn't save your tears. The OP and ED are fantastic too. They are one of the best this season. If you love touchy drama, this is for you.
8.7 stars? :)
Next up, A-Channel. It is a Slice-of-Life Comedy. If you can't stand slice of life, KEEP OUT. This series isn't one bit for you. The slice-of-life element is pretty strong. It is about the high school life of 4 friends. Tooru, a freshmen. Run, the childhood friend of Tooru who is a 2nd year in the same school. Nagi & Yuuko(who somehow reminds me of Akiyama Mio) are Run's friends.
There really isn't much i can say being a slice-of-life. All that i could say are Tooru is a cute loli high-schooler who can still wear her elementary uniform perfectly, Run is an airhead who doesn't get into situation(who have a forehead like Ritsu Tainaka), Nagi a normal girl who is obsessed about her weight and Yuuko, a splitting image of Mio in both appearance and character with a super model figure.
I will give the series a 6.5 because i actually watched it for the storyline... which obviously doesn't have much and a little bit of the characters. :P
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko is one of my favourites in the season. It is a comedy with slight romance. The girls in the show are extremely moe~! :3 And that includes the 40 year old aunt. The story revolves around Niwa Makoto, the nephew of Touwa Meme and the cousin of Touwa Erio, where Makoto meets many 'unusual, extraterrestrial-like" people including Erio and Meme in the new city he is in.
I would say that I simply ADORE the series. It isn't really about the comedy. Somehow, you can't help but get attracted to the series around episode 2. This series is filled with an alien-wannabe, a loli-acting aunt, a 'giant' cosplayer, a boy who counts his "puberty" points, and an energetic 'fruit-ist'. I would strongly or definitely recommend this series. To tell the truth, it is so "good" that i couldn't tell that it has ended until i checked it up. LOL. I really wish that there is a second season, although i have reliable source that there is a "unaired" episode in the blu-ray box. :O
I give it a 9/10 ;D but clearly it is a beyond 10/10 quality production.
Stay tune for the next part. :D
