I will be continuing on my review on the animes released in released in spring 2010 and have ended, where i last stopped at Denpa no Onna to Seishun Otoko.
I will probably be unable to finish them today as well, but i will try my very best.
The first series for today's post is Dororun Enma-Kun Meramera. This series is a remake of the original Dororun Enma-Kun anime based on famous manga artist Nagai Go's work. For those who know and are familiar with Nagai Go, you should roughly have an idea what this series is like. It contains somewhat action scenes and have supernatural themes. The storyline says that the Yokai Patrol team, which consist of Enma, Yuki-Hime, Kappaeru and Chapeauji together with a human Harumi are fighting the evil spirits who are attacking the human world.
I would say that a series where at the first few episode, you get to see an old hag swinging around her boobs, monster who looks are somehow similar to the genital organs, extreme fan service of the female protagonist, and bad languages is pretty explicit. One thing for sure is that this series is definitely not for the young.
My rating for this series will be 5.5 stars because it makes no sense to me.
Next on the list will be Gosick. This is a 24 episode anime which means it belongs to the Winter 2010/2011 group. Gosick is a mystery show with some romance and drama. The story revolves around the Black Reaper, Kazuya Kujo and the Golden Fairy, Victorique de Blois. For the slight half of the series, you will be witnessing the power of a Gray Wolf(Victorique), where she uses the Fountain of Wisdom in her to solve the mysteries. All of the mystery are actually connected in the end, which actually makes this series a must watch. The reason because usual mystery shows doesn't link the different mysteries together, so this is a pretty fresh concept.
I would say that this series is one of the must watch as not only the plot develops well, it is able to connect all the mysteries with near perfection. Also not forgetting the rare gothic loli moe where we hardly see in anime. You can also watch the series for the romance between Kujo and Victorique, which i personally feels is one of the best pair.
This series definitely deserves at least a 8.5 :D
Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai II or The World Only God Knows II in English is the 2nd season of the Romance Comedy, Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. As we have seen in the 1st season, it is about the capturing of "loose souls" which resides in the "emptiness" of human. The 'selling point' of the series is actually the "conquest", where the God of Galge Conquest, Katsuragi Keima helps Elsie, an underworld demon recover the loose souls. In the season, we see the capture of a girl who doesn't want to give in to her weakness(cute things), a failed loose soul capture by a tsundere District Chief in the demon squad, a plain Jane who actually isn't plain at all and a very motivated Teacher who loves pro wrestling and basketball, and a bonus game character(not bugged this time), which the God of conquest claims "SHE IS THE ONE!".
I personally really liked the concept. It even sparked me to touch the world of Galge(dating sims), which i never touch before but gave up right away because i sucks in it. I actually admires Keima-kun and his skills in Galge. If i were to choose between the 1st and the 2nd series, i would say the 1st because my dear Shiori is in it. She totally my type. >/////< But overall, without the affection, the seasons just gets better. Also, there is maybe a slight chance of a season 3 or maybe an OVA as we saw from the last episode, what seems to be a hint. This series is suitable for pretty much everyone, unless you are cold blooded and absolutely hates love, cute things, moe characters, galge and comedies.
I give it a rating of 8 because i really want to see the rest of the conquests!
I have currently 5 more series ended to cover which i promise i will do all on the next post. :)
